Malik (8 years) and Mocha (5 years) dodged bad fates to find each other and a safe life, and are now hoping to once more beat the odds and find a new forever home together. Malik is a lovely dark grey kitty who plans to one day figure out how to open doors -- he's been spotted numerous times fiddling with doorknobs. He will trade high- fives for treats, and will politely tap you with his paw when he wants attention. Mocha is a magnificent dark brown beauty with bright green eyes. She will nuzzle her head under your chin when she's picked up, and has no objections to being carried around. Mocha also responds when called with little chirping sounds. Both cats have been taught to not jump on counters (although if you wait too long to feed them, they will try to take matters into their own paws and will hunt along the counter for their food). They will also wait to hop up on the couch next to you until given permission to do so. Mocha has a flea allergy that is easily treated; Malik has no known allergies. This pair of best friends will make wonderful, entertaining, cuddly companions who would like nothing more than the chance to flop on you, and periodically look out of a window.
